Opinions about limitation and our opportunities permeate our lives today. We’re told we’re limited based on education, where one lives or doesn’t live, and even your genes. But there’s an antidote: unlimited intelligence.
I’m grateful to say that you already possess this limitless source of intellect and wisdom. However, there’s a caveat. In order to tap into this infinite reservoir of consciousness you must accept a single fact: there is no intelligence in matter—brain, nerve, genes, DNA, etc.
Sounds radical, eh? Well it’s not, actually. But let this idea dawn in your thought. Rest in the idea, yea the fact, that you are already unlimited.
Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord:
—Isa. 1:18 (to 🙂
The source of unlimited intelligence
Intelligence has its source in the one infinite God, the divine Mind. Mind itself is the source of all wisdom, reason, consciousness, perception, and understanding. These qualities aren’t material or mortal. They’re actually spiritual and therefore limitless and infinite. And God, Spirit, expresses these spiritual qualities through man — men and women.
You and I, even as unique individuals, have our source in Mind. This divine Mind is our source—it defines our unique identity and niche in life—and gives each of us unique characteristics and means of expressing divine Mind. Just as God is One, or is Individual and infinite, we each express God’s beauty, individuality, and intelligence in an infinite number of ways.
…as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office: So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another.
Who cares about being unlimited?
Understanding God as the source of all intellect and wisdom, and defining yourself from the basis that you’re God’s image and likeness, is a game-changer! We’re constantly told ugly things about ourselves and that we have no choice but to accept these so-called facts. But when we begin to accept the truth about God and His idea, man (men and women), we find freedom, safety, healing. Even more important than accepting the truth, is putting it into practice.
Christian Science tells us how to practice this divinely based truth by practicing the Christianity that Jesus lived and taught. Not as a creed or a denomination, but by understanding, living, and thinking—from a divinely scientific basis—that you’re spiritual, intelligent, holy, good, and, innocent.
This is what truly sets us free—living life in Jesus’ way—from all mortal opinions about limitation. This spiritual pathway lifts us out of dark beliefs that would say we’re weak, incapable, or stupid. Discovering this intelligence can unlock new ways of thinking because when we tap into our divine source of unlimited intelligence — there’s no limit to the good we can accomplish.
The term Science, properly understood, refers only to the laws of God and to His government of the universe, inclusive of man. From this it follows that business men and cultured scholars have found that Christian Science enhances their endurance and mental powers, enlarges their perception of character, gives them acuteness and comprehensiveness and an ability to exceed their ordinary capacity.
